About the clip...

Don Quixote - Complete bi-ped rigging, using Maya, done in a cartoony style. Squash and stretch is included in all the necessary areas, along with IK/FK appendages, a face set-up, and equipment rigging.

Face Rig - Done with Maya, this rig addresses the sliding action of muscles on the face. It is a joint and blend shape "hybrid" that utilizes a script which builds planes that can be sculpted to fit the geometry of the character's face. The planes are used to pass positioning data to bound joints in world space, while the animator receives consistent values from controls that exist in UV space. 16 specific blend shapes are also used to handle bulging and expansion of the skin.

Sampson - Complete quadruped rig including a unique use of IK systems, a face set-up, and deformers applied to maintain volume throughout the model.

Slithery Snake – Custom curve based rig allows for compound S-curves, spirals, and other functionality lost in a regular spline IK or motion path set-up.

Penny - Hair simulation. Done using Maya along with Disney proprietary simulation tools.

Treetops - Texturing derived from original watercolor art. 3D camera projection done in Maya with special effects added in After Effects.

Ropebridge - The rigging involved is an integration of hierarchical rigging along with a soft-body simulation using. Textures are hand-painted using Maya.

Monster Truck - Blend of hierarchical rigging and physics simulation completed using Maya.
